Living and coping in Dubai

I've read in the standard this morning about what's going on in Dubai. Most Western newsies writes about how Dubai is suffering from economic woes due to its inability to sustain its mega projects and pay its creditors from the humungous amount of money spent on each project like man-made islands and among many others. As they have tagged it, another economic bubble is going to burst and that might drag and affect the world economy as a second wave. Negative criticisms as to why it has happened to Dubai have crossed around the globe.

As an ordinary expat working in this part of the world, hearing negative write ups does not bring or help me or any individual working and living in this city but it rather drag us down to the lowest level of survival. Yes, it is true Dubai is struggling on its feet just like any other nation suffered from the recent global financial crisis and nobody can deny even the greatest economic power, the United States of America were at limbo and greatly hit by the crisis. How much more can you expect from Dubai where everthing has just started and most of its areas are under construction?

It is so easy to say or comment on something when you are outside looking in...why not try to turn something inside out? We may be able to understand better the plight of every individual working and living around here.

As far as I know, concerned individual and authorities is doing its best for the interest of great majority. Indeed, personally I am suffering from this economic depression just like anyone else. Most of us have tighten our belts just to make both ends meet. We are in a Survival stage and hoping that everything else will fall in its proper places and perspectives.
